What is WiFi exactly?

WiFi is an acronym for Wireless Fidelity. A WiFi-connection uses radio signals, like mobile phones and similar devices. In this case an antenna transmits radio signals that have been encrypted by a wireless adapter-card of a computer. The signal that has been transmitted is received by a router which decodes the information that has been transmitted. The information is then transmitted into cyberspace by means of an ethernet-cable or LAN (Local Area Network).
